I made a custom .mp4 video splash screen to show on boot, but no matter what I try I can't make it fill the entire screen. The resolution matches that of the display exactly (1024x1280) and I've tried editing asplashscreen.sh to add commands adjusting the window and aspect ratio. That said, nothing has fixed my problem. Can anyone offer some advice?

Maybe a stretched question, have you set your overscan to null? Worked with my setup.

@xvo ive tried using that option in raspi-config but for some reason it didn't work for me but uncommenting it in /boot/config.txt did the trick

I didn't use the setup from the retropie or raspi-config menu itself, I manage everything from editing with nano ;)

@xvo I don't think it's an overscan issue. If it was, wouldn't if be affecting all my other menus and stuff? It seems to only be a problem for the splash screen.

The screen being sideways might have something to do with it

@herb_fargus Possibly. But the display settings are correct and the aspect ratio of the splash video matches the vertical screen exactly.
