      Good day,

I am having great success with all of my emulators except for one. Dreamcast. I used the onboard interface to install this from the optional packages (Reicast). It downloaded from source. EDIT: I have installed both BIOS files and named them correctly.

When I select a game to play, the screen loads the file as it does with all others, asking me if I want to configure. Then the screen goes black and I am returned to the game selection menu after about 2 seconds. Any advice? Using pi 3.

If you hold your Pi out the window while driving 40+ mph, the performance is improved significantly.

      True story.

completed the following steps and solved the problem.

              Uninstalled reicast
              reboot
removed BIOS files (through file manager)
deleted shortcut to bios files in reicast directory (yes, it was still there after uninstall)
              reboot
              installed reicast from binary
              reboot
              copied BIOS back into folder
              updated reicast from source
              reboot

Reicast works now, though I am disappointed with how choppy every single game is. Next step, tweeking it look better. :D

Thanks for all of your help.

I was also struggling with Reicast. I think you can save this whole reinstall procedure and just delete the symlinks (and create new ones), your 4th step. This worked for me.

@mth75 I have been struggling to get Dreamcast to load on my desktop PC with retropie. Where exactly are the system links for the BIOS files located?
