What are your thoughts on the new game themed pi cases being released?

yea i have not been happy with the case. dont get me wrong the good ones do look great, but they are all the same. I was a Sega kid so i wanted a Sega Genesis case. sadly no one has made a good looking one yet.

so i went with a wood and plexy case. added a blue LED and it looks tight.

You got a link to what you did? I'd love to see it. And yeah, no Genesis case except for that mod with the genesis usb hub.

@sgtjimmyrustles someone mentioned on youtube that the kintaro guys are looking into other cases like the Sega Genesis/megadrive. Could be just a rumor but im sure there is a market for it.

@sgtjimmyrustles Still the problem is there with the official case pcb's.

@quicksilver I like the pcb's on the 9000 model but the USB ports on the side is a big letdown.

Can't figure out why they did not produce it with front and back USB ports instead.

Sure it would be a little bit bigger but more resemble a genuine Snes US model.

Oh I've spoken to the Kintaro guy himself on discord, and he might be working on dreamcast. Right now, it's a PAL SNES.

He's making a new one with front ports, but you'll have to modify your pi a bit.

Oh don't worry, he's making one. I've already seen the screenshots. It's the one that has the usb ports.

Dreamcast and other consoles had replacement shells available, both official and 3rd party. Might be a good place to look and they would have loads of room for things like drives or multiple pis. I know its probably off topic for this threat, but I can definitely see some possibilities in them.
