@moosepr thank you. My thoughts were to still use it as a functional coffee table and have customed a smaller drawer on the opposite side. The old games brink back so many memories. Luv it.

Looking good! :-)

That is so awesome. I bet your son is stoked.
-
thats flippin impressive!

@dazza Very good setup. You can just cover the screen to hide it. You don't always want your gaming obsession to get out to any visitors!! :-)
-
I made it pretty crappy and quickly underneath -see my split wood etc.Just wanted it up and running. I also used heaps of hot glue to secure the cables. Mame is working well however I need to learn how to map the keys and add it to the separate emulations as I don't seem to be too successful doing it manually.
Acrylic was cut for the top

@dazza looks pretty good. One thing you can do is use high quality like 3m black electrical tape to run around the bezel of the lcd to hide the metal. You dont want to use cheap electrical tape because it peels up from heat.
-
Great! That's a good idea. I think I will get some white tape. Will see how I go. I may tilt the screen 5 degrees yet. Appreciate your ideas am I'm new to all this. Regards,
-
@dazza i personally would use black tape. The reason why is white tape shows the flaws of everything underneath it really well. The black tape helps hide them.
-
Try black velvet tape. A lot of home theatres use it because it absorbs the most light. Not a lot of money and practically invisible.
White velvet might look good too. Seems a shame to put all this effort into a build to end up with electrical tape around the border of your screen!
-
@Concat i didnt even think of that. Yes that would absorb the light nicely. I still think white would show too many flaws. And when the edges ever get dirty you can see that.
-
@Concat Cherz. May have to Google that one as I have never heard of velvet tape. Does anyone want to have a Crack at my help topic? Trying to fig out how to add my setup to each emulator. Please?
