FUSE not latest version from source ?
-
@windale it probably needs updating. Not all modules build the latest code automatically from source.
-
fuse has now been updated to 1.3.4
-
Thanks.
-
I didn't rebuild the binaries yet. Will do that in a bit.
-
Any chance of updating the script for v1.3.7 ?
Can you also add the filetype '.rzx' to es_systems. This allows to watch replays of games from rzxarchive.co.uk. Currently they don't show up in emulationstation. I get a bit sick of doing it manually everytime I do an update :)
-
@maxbeanz I will update it - you can customise extensions via a
platforms.cfg
in/opt/retropie/configs/all/
eg
zxspectrum_exts=".7z .sh .sna .szx .z80 .tap .tzx .gz .udi .mgt .img .trd .scl .dsk .zip .rzx"
and then reinstall. No need to manually edit es_systems.cfg. I will add the extension though to the default config.

Thanks a lot.

Does anyone can make script update for latest fuse v1.4.1 please?
There is a lot of improvements and bugfixes from the previous version.
Here are the latest links from sourceforge:
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/fuse-emulator/libspectrum/1.4.1/libspectrum-1.4.1.tar.gz
https://sourceforge.net/projects/fuse-emulator/files/fuse/1.4.1/fuse-1.4.1.tar.gz -
Just to say thanks, for the quick response.
-
@BuZz Any chance of an update to Fuse v1.5.1 please ?
-
@maxbeanz ok, done. Binary will be updated shortly.
-
@buzz Thanks.
-
@BuZz I have just been reading a few comments on the FUSE sourceforge page about the new v1.5.1 version. Apparently v1.5.0 should work as no display updates were made until v1.5.1. Could we try v1.5.0 from source until it's confirmed working/not working ?
What information is needed between RetroPie and the FUSE devs to get the latest version working again on RetroPie DispmanX ? They asked this here :-
"Could also give us the output from Fuse 1.5.1 with the --sdlfullscreenmode flag set to 'list'?"
https://sourceforge.net/p/fuse-emulator/bugs/417/
I'm also interested in why some joypads can't use the D-Pad in the FUSE GUI ? I'm using a 8bitdo SF30 Pro and I can only use the Analogue stick to control games/GUI. The d-pad is using Axis like the OP states and can't be configured. Is it the RetroPie team that update the GUI for FUSE ?
-
@BuZz Not sure if you saw my post above 2 weeks ago, is there any chance to get this looked at as I would like to be up to date with the latest version developments ?
-
@maxbeanz I saw it. I don't have time currently and it's not a high priority (current version works etc). I will look at it after the new image is out.
-
Using fresh install of Retropie 4.4. (Only option is build from source). FUSE fails to build.
-
@BuZz Is there any chance of looking into why the latest version doesn't work please ?
-
@BuZz Sorry to keep bothering you. You said you would look at this after the new image is out.
-
And why was I downvoted for asking this ?
-
Probably because someone considered you unnecessarily bumped this topic repeatedly asking the same thing over and over.
