I’m still in the process of setting up my roms and while adjusting my inputs for my keyboard the menu went a bit wonky. I restarted and it didn’t fix itself. On mobile currently so attached a quick pic

I backed up my current roms already so I'm ready to just format my SD card and start over but wondering if anyone has had this issue before or know a way to try and fix it.

@gbh Looks like a memory issue to me. Have you been changing settings within EmulationStation?

@gbh Never seen anything like it before. Very odd. Just re-flash the image and start again.
This time keep a note of exactly what you are doing so if it happens again it will be easier to find a solution.

I only have a KB hooked up right now and i was changing the keys and I think I went through and when done accidentally went right back into the menu to change the keys and that's when everything looked weird. Super weird thing is after restarting EmulationStation, restarting RP2, and doing a complete shutdown a doesn't help at all.

@gbh Try reinstalling Emulation Stationvia the setup script. If that doesn't fix it then just re-flash a new image to the SD card.

@jonnykesh It was late last night and had a long day at work, I could've done something without noticing. When I'm off work I'll reflash. Still new to linux/retropie. I SSH'ed from my main PC and just backed up my roms. Nothing else I really need to do right? Just reinstall and move the roms back?

@gbh Yeah, that's pretty much it.
You'll soon get the hang of Linux. I had never touched it before I started using Pis. Now both my laptops are running it and Windows is but a distant, awful memory!

@gbh Does RetroArch work correctly? If yes, can you tell me the value of your VRAM limit? You can find this in "other settings" within EmulationStation main menu. It should be 80 Mb by default.

Edit: didn't see you were already moving files, nvm.

Ya other than the visual issues, everything is working normally. I'll take a peek when I'm back but that won't be till after 6pm pacific time.

@gbh Hopefully someone will be about to help. It's only ten past nine in the morning where you are at. It's 4:10pm here and raining, as usual.

@jonnykesh To be completely honest, since it's so easy to backup and start over I don't really mind. I just wonder what the hell happened.

@gbh You sound like me. I want to know why it happened too. It's such an odd case. I've never seen anything like it in 2 years using RetroPie, so we may never know.
If it happens again then we can be pretty sure it is something in your set-up or something you are doing.
