Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. This is my first time using raspberry pi (I’m using 3b) and RetroPie as I decided to make a present for a coworker who did not have the opportunities to play classic games when he was younger. So far, everything has been smooth sailing as I just follow what people say here and in video tutorials.

The one issue that I’ve been stuck on and could not find a definitive answer to in the forums or video is getting rid of useless file types showing up in my PC folder. I’m running DOSBox and the games themselves work fine, but when I add them to the PC folder, the RetroPie game menu list shows not only the .exe file, but every other setup, config, text, etc file that was also in the original game folder.

I tried following a DOSBox “adding games” video tutorial, but when the guy dragged his game folder into the RetroPie PC folder, his automatically added only the game file to RetroPie and nothing else, but he didn’t explain how. I also couldn’t find a solid answer in any of the forums. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Try the method suggested in this post:
