Please take a look at the docs - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/. If you're having a problem with transfering ROMs, please open a new topic for it. As for the size, what you actually see is the 1st (boot) partition from the card; the system - along with the ROMs - is on the 2nd Linux partition, but Windows cannot read it and therefore cannot report its actual size and free space.

@mitu when ever i want to put anything on the other partition it wants to format it... if i do format it, it wont boot up it says kernal error ect...
-
@ekendahl00757 That's not the correct method to transfer ROMs, please look at the link from my previous post to understand how ROMs are copied to your system.

@mitu have done thank you for your help its much appreciated
-
Also i know its a bit of a way off but when do we think the official retro pi software will be released for the 3 b+
-
Would you be able to update from this version to whatever the next version would be? Brand new to the Raspberry Pie scene.
-
@mist17 yes.
-
@ekendahl00757 you can use the image on this thread then update all packages. Will be the same as when the new image is out. It will be released when it's ready. Hopefully soon.

@buzz Awesome thanks for the info!!

Hey there! Thank you for the image! I just tried migrating my data to a fresh installed stretch image, what worked just fine via usb-hdd. Now the thing is, I have a NesPi-Case. And although I know this is not recommended, I sometimes use the reset or powerbutton before a shutdown. Hell I don't do it often and when the filesystem crashes I'll install one of my regular backups. Now when I try to do this with my new Strech-SD, it just boots to a black screen next time. There is nothing I could do. What is this? Any ideas?
-
@ganondork So your system does not boot anymore or what ? Maybe your card is corrupted.
-
Yes, it doesn‘t boot anymore. Started 3 times from scratch with 3 different SD-cards. Funny thing - The Jessie-system I used before seems also not to boot anymore. Rewritimg my backup right now, but this is pretty weird.
EDIT: Seems like I didn‘t sleep enough. After restoring my backup, I actually can force-quit or reset without breaking the image. Still not the case for stretch images. Power-cut = Gameover. I could just get used to always properly shut down, what I do most of the time. Still in case of a brownout or my little son accidentally hitting the button shouldn‘t terminally break my build, I think.

I fixed the GameMaker ports so that it can run on Stretch. The new script for it is up on the wiki page and the pull request for it is live on @zerojay's repo.

I get very scratchy sound with this image using the analogue 3.5 mm output. Especially in Attract Mode. Anyone else who have the same problem?

Great job. Installed on B+ works great even mounting via usb only. Only concern is emulators that require bios files won't boot but I'm assuming that's still in the works. Other then that everything connects and works. Even a light overclock of 1500mhz.
-
@vodkanakas All my games that require a bios still work. PS1, Segacd, Pc-Engine cd, Neogeo. I'm using a pi3 b+ at 1500mhz.
-
@darksavior how did you get them to work. I just copied them from my B to my B+ and none load. Ps1 is unable to load bios but will run. The fds, Sega CD, pce CD and DC don't boot. Also tried factory settings with same result.
-
@vodkanakas Absolutely nothing but putting the bios files in the same bios folder as before. I don't know what to tell you. Try updating the emulators and double check the bios files are in the bios folder.
