-
Hello :3
I have just got the pi 3+
Been running into some problems, I have Tryed RetroPie 4.3 and Raspbian and just get the rainbow screen with a red flashing light, Iv Tryed different sd cards, made sure I have enough power, different sd readers and img burning software.The strange thing is that these stretch imgs work
I found one for Raspbian
And the 4.3.15 img from this forum.Can anyone help me run Rectro pie 4.3? I would like WiFi and a more stable os.
Thank you

@lou use this image https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/16307/retropie-4-3-15-stretch-images-for-testing
It should work fine - I use it myself. Note the comments regarding enabling wifi.
if it doesn't work you may have not written it correctly - you can post here with more details after writing it etc.

@buzz
Okies!
Iv done that seems too boot all good :)
But when I go into set up the WiFi no WiFi spots come up not even mine -
@lou you need to set your wifi localisation from raspi config. This is detailed in other forum threads

I will look around for the info and try it out at the week end, and report back

It's in the same post as the link to download the image. Please read the details on the post. Menu 4 of raspi-config. I also mentioned it in my post above!

Newb here too, just bought the 3 model B+ and the retro pi just boots to a colorful image. If i write Stretch to it, it boots up fine. I tried to download the beta retropie-4.3.15-rpi2_rpi3.img.gz but it doesn't show up as image file option in Win32Diskmanager. I'm missing something and not sure what.

@noranni Extract the .img file with winrar or any other compatible decompressor.
-
@darksavior facepalm I cleared my downloads folder and started fresh, extracted and there it was. Thank you. Was also able to get the wifi configured. I appreciate this thread.
-
@noranni etcher saves you the trouble of extraction ;)
-
@noranni could you help me with the WiFi? How did you do it?
-
@lou It's detailed in the 1st post where the Stretch image is posted:
WiiFi is disabled until wireless regulatory domain is set (Pi 3 B+ only)
The domain can be done through 'Raspberry Pi Configuration' (rc_gui),
raspi-config or by setting 'country=' to an appropriate ISO 3166
alpha2 country code in /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf.
