Remote Monitoring
-
So I had been trying to figure a way to continually monitor CPU load, SD load, and temperature without having multiple windows open or clutter
So in python I took several different methods to make a single script that runs in a nearly clean format with no power requirements and no clutter
below is a screenshot of my laptop of what the ssh readout looks like
-
@ismaelzsilva this has nothing to do with the topic.
-
@herb_fargus guessing it was deleted.....
I added CPU frequency monitor to it as well
Now my next quest is to find a way to set it to log it and possibly make it more of a permanent solution if it goes well...
(Logs will be 1 per day and will write to the log continuously)
Maybe once I am done and I clean up my hoard of comments in the script, I can upload the script
-
I use a separate app called raspicheck
Mostly cause I'm lazy but lightweight diagnostics are always useful however they are done
-
@herb_fargus yeah, i use that too for both of my pis. I like the simplicity of the app compared to others i looked at.
-
Sadly raspicheck is Android only...
-
@drakaen391 but of course. Why would someone who owns a pi own anything but an Android ;)
-
@herb_fargus Well, apart from the Pi and other Linux machines, I own a normal cell phone. ;)
-
I got rid of my phone. People kept calling me it was awful.
-
so my remote monitering script helped rule out overheating on my pie
its become unstable suddenly... so time to backup and reflash
