    Hello Everyone,

I recently made a home made gameboy with a pi Zero W. I succeded to run som roms, but doesn't with other (like pokemon Red Fire or Golden Sun)

I puted the gba_bios.bin file into BIOS directory. I tried to run with GPSP and MGBA, but the game is not stating.

I went to retropie_setup.sh but I don't find any line for lr-vba-next or something else.

I think that I am not the first one to have this problem, but I am a neebie with Retropie and I can not find any real solution for my problem.

Any help would be very appreciated.

    Hellasius.

@hellasius Make sure your BIOS is correct - verify the checksum on https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Game-Boy-Advance/ is the same as your bios file.
Second - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - what image and RetroPie release are you using ?
You should find the emulator log file in /dev/shm/runcommand.log, so find the file after you've tried to run the ROM and post its contents on pastebin.com, then post the link here.

Check the folder immediately after running the failing ROM, the log file does not exist before and it's also cleared when you restart your system.

@hellasius Does it work if you remove the overclock ? The log file has some errors regarding audio, I'm not sure they're the cause of the crash.

@hellasius Can you try a different ROM ? Are you sure the ROM(s) that fails is ok ?

                      @mitu I tried different ROMs,
pokemon red fire frensh or english, golden sun, sims 2 are not working.
but Mario and zelda minish cap are working fine.

I am not 100% sure but ROMs are from dfferent website.
I don't think is come from the ROM. But I will try other one to be sure.

@hellasius Try to enable the verbose logging in the Runcommand menu, maybe the log would be more detailed. Does your sound work ?

I tried with another ROM for pokemon ruby and I have the same issue.
I run the ROM with verbose command, same. Where can I find the error file? that I can share it with you.
I do not have a daptater for mi Pi zero to try the sound., I don't know if it's working.

Same file as before - /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

@hellasius Do you see text like 1679/ -/ Pokemon/ Rouge/ Feu/ (F)(Rising Sun).gba in the grey box if you start your ROM?

                                Look at the slashes /

@hellasius The log file doesn't seem to report any errors, but have you tried to see if the ROM is ok ? Load it in another emulator - on a PC maybe ? - to see if it works.

@mitu I quicklly tried to run my ROMs on PC emulator, but none are working (not pokemon and not zelda, that was supposed to work)...
                                        I am lost...

Roms are all working on my PC.
I realize it was just a issue during the transfert of the rom to my raspberry, now it should work.... but actually my raspberry pi seems not to respond to my SD card.
I tried to reboot on the new retropie IMG, and nothing. Green led blink twice, then nothing.... when I try the same SD card on another pi It's working.

If you have any advice for this issue, that would be great.
You already helped me a lot. Thank you.
