To add to this. I am running the latest build as downloaded though retropie settings. Running on an PI3B which has not been overclocked. The only thing plugged in is a USB Snes style Controller.

Give version detail please (not just latest). Which emulators? Please give an example. Also did you customise any settings?

I updated all packages 4 days ago and am on
          4.0-beta2.

I noticed the pointer is on all LR emulators in the top left. I have not edited any options.

please post the contents of /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg via a pastebin site (or properly formatted on the forum)

Please give more detail also. What version did you upgrade from, how did you upgrade (EG did you update retropie-setup, and then upgrade all packages? Did you update from source or binary ?)

@BuZz I upgraded from the retropie setup - all packages from source.

Here is my cfg - http://pastebin.com/T0rXtDrV

                Thanks.

@jazzyninja you should use the binary install or try a fresh image initially. Source install may install buggy versions of things like retroarch. Hence the warning screen when using the source install

@BuZz Hi, did a fresh upgrade all from binary. Still the annoying problem continues? Very strange. It's as if there is a mouse plugged when there isn't.

I had issues with updating from 3.7 to 4.0 beta 2 doing the full install. I had the mouse cursor on at least one of my emulators but it wasnt the only problem with that emu for me. (I didnt pay any attention if other emus were a problem) So i redid the update but instead of full update i did the quick install and then i did the full install afterwards and everything worked

@edmaul69 So do a quick install update followed by a full update? Surely that would end me back where I am now? Well I shall give it a try! :)

You could try re-installing retroarch from binary as a first step which would help narrow it down.

If you could give me an example of just one emulator that does it, we can debug it that way (Easier to pick one, and go from there). I suspect it's a retroarch issue (configuration or software)

                              @buzz

I just changed the values in the config file so that the display fits my telvision perfectly. Then when I started a playstation game, I noticed the mouse pointer is on my screen too. I went to google to find out how to get it off, then saw this post.

I do not know the reason the other people that posted had this happen. But I only see the mouse pointer when I use the sdl12 Video driver for playstation games. Using this driver, with the enhanced resolution and interlacing options from the Quick Menu, make Gran Turismo look amazing.

The mouse is actually present on the output for everyones display who uses this video driver. I couldn't see it before I shrunk the values of the top/bottom/left/right for the overscan in the config.txt file.

Lakka has an option to turn the mouse on or off. I don't know, but maybe it is the same option being enabled in retroarch running the pcsx-rearmed core for RetroPie.
