Video Screensaver Issue
-
Does RetroPie (EmulationStation) keep a log of what it's doing when it's running the video screensaver? I recently added Final Burn Alpha to my build to participate in the cheevos available with them. In order for FBA to show up as a system, I had to run the path through Selph's Scraper. I've actually not used Selph's in a while, and had been using UXS. Anyway, it got a good scrape. However, when the video screensaver is running, I've noticed quite a few black segments. I'm not sure what's going on. My first thought was that the video it scraped was just that; black. But then I realized it's ALL black, and doesn't have the game name/system on screen like it does all the others. I'd like to take a look at the log (if it exists) to try and figure out what the black screen is. If it's a video that's not loading, or what.
Anybody know if a log exists? If not, is there a way I can temporarily create one?

@hansolo77 This is a known issue for the videos scraped from arcadeitalia, they're encoded with a video codec option that is not compatible with OMXPlayer. Search the forums for this - I think there are a few options - either convert them with Handbrake or manually scrape and specify the
-convert_video
(?) option to the scraper to re-encode them after download. -
Ah that explains it. It's weird though, that it doesn't do that with every video. Is it only arcadeitalia scrapes that are like that? Maybe I'll just scrape with UXS. Not sure how to use Handbrake.
How do I "manually scrape and specify the
-convert_video
option?"
EDIT:
I'm giving this a shoot before attempting something else:
