      So I gave up trying to compile lr-mess on my pi3b+ (non oc'd) after it failed to compile over a day later. Is there a step-by-step guide on how to do this from my pc?

        @darksavior Cross compiling such a large package is going to be a mess (!) because of the dependencies. Have you tried the Libretro automated builds ? They have already build those for armhf - https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/armhf/latest/ - I assume the mame_libretro.zipfile is what you're looking for.

          @mitu That just gives me a segmentation fault. If it's too much trouble then I'll just try asking the person that compiled lr-mess successfully and hope that he can share it. The reason I wanted to try is because the person said he could succesfully run neogeo cd chd games. If latest mame can also do this now, I wonder how much work would it be to backport it for the mame2003-plus guys.
