      @thedatacereal Normally when I update my files from setup script it normalmy take 5 to 8 mins. Now today it took as long as an half an hour. I can download themes quick though suprisngly. But I did notice themes downloading/updating a little slower today.

        Maybe you just had some bad luck or some home network hiccups. For everything I have on mine, it went as expected, if not faster now that I have a 3B+.

          @thedatacereal well this happened to me before in the past. Not that often but when it did I thought it was my Linux mirror something. Do you download from the US or you in the UK.

            Still happening today. Anyone here know how to do mirror checks or change the mirror download server since some of the sites I have gone to haven't been all that helpful

                  @redbatman I tried a full update and I got a slow download too, on the 1st package (avmame)

                  wget https://files.retropie.org.uk/binaries/stretch/rpi3/emulators/advmame.tar.gz
                  --2018-05-14 19:20:21--  https://files.retropie.org.uk/binaries/stretch/rpi3/emulators/advmame.tar.gz

                  Saving to: 'advmame.tar.gz'

                  advmame.tar.gz                             4%[==>                                                                                ] 807.75K  38.3KB/s

                  Strangely, using IPv4 the speed is what I call normal

                  wget -4 https://files.retropie.org.uk/binaries/stretch/rpi3/emulators/advmame.tar.gz

                  Can you retry a simple download, forcing it over IPv4 ?
