Problem installing retropie
-
Which software did you use to flash the sd card? I have used Etcher successfully, and it is available on Linux, Mac and Windows.
-
@douga I used both etcher and Win32DiskImager
-
@pluto51804 Please provide more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Looking at the LEDs on your PI (assuming you have a model with such output), you can determine which problem is preventing the boot, see https://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting. -
I have a raspberry pi 3 model b plus, there is no light on the board
-
@pluto51804 If nothing lights up, you might have a faulty/improper power supply.
-
@mitu I have a nespi case, which has a light on the case that lights up
-
Also, my friend told me to replace the micro usb wires because of low voltage, Could this be a problem
-
@pluto51804 That tells you that your power supply is producing some power, but doesn't tell you if it is providing enough to drive your Pi. What power supply are you using, and what power is it rated at?
-
@pluto51804 The NesPi cases have a reputation for not providing enough power to the Pi. Get your Pi out of the case and connect it directly to the power supply, if it boots, then it's the case. The 3B+ model is more sensitive to improper power supplies, as noted in the release notes, so your problem is probably power related.
-
@douga my power supply is the pwr+ with a 3.5A output
-
Thanks guys, it was the case power
