@thechefpi123 super mario 64 works great for NDS on my pi 3. Did you swap your card straight from your pi 2 to your pi 3? If so you may need to update the emulator.

@thechefpi123 perhaps you have a bad rom? Is this the same exact rom you were using on your pi2?

              I never had a pi2, I had a rpi 1 model b+ but never a 2, I'll try another rom to see what happens....

about to test sonic rush, if it works I've retried the super mario 64 ds file onto the pi
EDIT: Sonic rush adventure worked, I'm not trying the alt. Mario 64 ds file...

@quicksilver, are you using the supplied BIOS file on your install, or an actual DS BIOS?

I kept the supplied bios while using my own, could that be a problem?

You might try switching them out for the real BIOS files to see, but definitely keep the defaults handy.

I got it working after finding a different copy of the file, I do however find the controls weird and ask how do you go back to the menu on drastic before we close this topic

I believe once you open up the on-screen menu initially, you have to exit out of it to get to the actual options.

EDIT: the information on https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Nintendo-DS displays no controls for drastic only desmume....

@thechefpi123 with a keyboard plugged in, launch a game and press the letter M. It’ll bring up the configuration menu and you can edit controls and more.

This is also a great tutorial for setting up drastic and configuring the controls.
