8bitdo NES30pro paired but doesn't work
-
Hello, I paired my new 8bitdo NES30pro following the official guide (8bit hack off, udev on). It works on the menu but stop working when i play games (mame2000, snes, mega drive). I can play fine with Pc and Android so this is not a fault gamepad.
I also tried to delete the pairing a couple of times but without improvements. My setup is:
Pi Model: Raspberry Pi 3 B+
Case: Nespi Case+
Power Supply: Official 2.5A
RetroPie: 4.4
USB Devices connected: Logitech F310 gamepad
8bitdo firmware: 4.10 -
@r3lic What mode are you using it to connect to the PI ? PC/Andoid/Switch ? Remove the controller, then start it in Android mode, pair it and configure it again in Emulationstation.
If that doesn't work, then start a SNES game and use the Runcommand launch menu to start the ROM in verbose mode. Exit the game and post the contents of the/dev/shm/runcommand.log
file on pastebin.com so we can take a look at it. -
@mitu Yes I'm using the Android mode, i tried the Windows mode also but with no results... This is the runcommand.log files, hope it can be useful
thank you

@r3lic RetroArch detects 2 controllers
- Logitech Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2
- 8Bitdo NES30 Pro
I think the problem is that the 8Bitdo gamepad is seens as player2 and doesn't work in games that are 1 player. Can you disconnect the Logitech gamepad and see if this fixes it ?
You can use @meleu's joystick selection tool to order the gamepads, though it has been reported that on 4.4 this doesn't seem to work anymore, or just use the 1st gamepad to enter the RGUI (Select + X
) and re-order the gamepads so that the 8Bitdo is seen as player 1. -
@mitu sorry for the late reply! I disconnected the logitech F310 and the 8bitdo worked, so I installed meleus tool to keep 8bitdo as player 1 controller and it's working! Thank you very much!!!
