      What do you do to get rid of the emulationstation splash screen?
      It'll be useful for my Pi

          Add <bool name="SplashScreen" value="false" /> to home/pi/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg

            @jonnykesh works fine, but after restarting the system several times the additional line in the es_settings.cfg is removed automatically :(
            I'm using RetroPie 4.4

              @funkybunch It's not a restart that over-writes it, it's an update.
              Speak to the Devs, they are the one's unwilling to add it as an option in the GUI that persists.

                @jonnykesh ok. I unterstand that the dev‘s are unwillig to das this as a Option in the Settings Menu, but why is the line deleted when the Pi is Not connected to the Internet and nothing is updated??? 😕

                  @funkybunch Since the supported way to disable the splash is through the command line parameter --no-splash, and not through a config, you should add this parameter in the autostart script that runs Emulationstation (/opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh). Try it and it should persist between restarts.
