      So opening up an old thread here... does anybody know if something changed in EmulationStation in the most recent build that sort of breaks everything modded into it for video previews? I'm using the Carbon theme, and every time I exit out of a game, all I get is a "black screen of death". It's no longer white, surprisingly. But I know it's not a full on crash because I can hear the navigation sounds (no videos) and when I press START I get the pop-up menu. Just looking for some advice.

        @hansolo77 ... It shouldn't?

        I mean, loads of things changed, but nothing should have caused that.

        When did you last update?

        Maybe opening a new thread would be best for more exposure, but I'm slightly clueless about it at the moment.

        What VRAM do you have set, and are you using the latest version of Carbon?

          I just did the "update all installed packages" earlier today.. said it would install using binaries wherever possible. I've not done anything else.

            @hansolo77 I see. Try updating emulationstation from source and see if it improves. I don't quite know what that does and don't know what's included.

            When you go to the emulationstation menu, what version does it currently show?

              @hansolo77 not trying to be rude but I have been reading and responding to a lot of your posts and it looks like you have some major issues with yoursetup. When you post please be sure you are sharing your problems with details on what you have done and what has occurred and not inferring that this is the only problem and that retropie or emulationstation are to blame. We all want to help you out, but we don't want to start a wild goose chase or worry others about ES when your system is experiencing a myriad of issues. Thanks for your understanding and please do continue to post your issues for help under new posts.

                No Problem. :) I don't know what I did. I'm in the process right now of restoring from a previous SD card backup. It all started when I tried to re-scrape using UXS to get videos, whereas before I was just using static images. So my first goal is to get back to the stable static image mode, then try again. I just don't know what happened.

                    @hansolo77 OK, that's as up to date as it gets.

                    Could you move the conversation to a separate thread and add me to it, as this is not related to this topic anymore?

                    Any emulators you notice this happening with? Does it also happen with any other theme?

                    Thanks.

Any chance to get this launcher somewhere here in the forum?
