Playing Tapper in Mame with XArcade Tankstick
-
Hello everyone.
I have Tapper working in Mame using my Xarcade Tankstick. Does anyone know if I can map the player 2 joystick on the Tankstick to use as the tap handle just like the actual arcade game? I hope this question makes sense. I'm currently having to press a button on the Tankstick to pour a beer and would like to use the player 2 joystick if possible.
Thank you!

The tap pull is really just a button like any other. You should be able to invoke the 'Tab' menu, navigate to player controls (This Game), select button 1 for player 1 and when it asks for input, just pull the player 2 joystick down.

invoke the 'Tab' menu
Thanks so much for the prompt reply!
How do I enter the 'Tab" menu? Also, I assume changing this while I'm in the Tapper game will only change this request for the Tapper game and all other games will remain as the original settings, correct?

Wait for the emulator to load and then press the 'Tab' key on your keyboard.

Once you enter the menu, you should see an entry to change input settings and another entry to change input settings for 'This Game'.

Was able to get this to work!
Thank you so much mediamogul! -
Glad to hear. It's a great idea for authenticity that never occurred to me before. I plan on mapping my right thumbstick to do this same thing the next time I play... So, thank you as well.

A big thanks from me. I never thought to do it this way either.
