Oh, I thought I might be able to re edit that after. Sorry

Can anyone help please as after several days of trying to rectify i'm no closer.

Mame Liberto I pac'd controls no longer work correctly on my PI for some reason. It is through Retroarch and other emulators using the same process still work fine. Its just MAME Liberto that's the problem. I do not know why this has happened.

I have a qwerty keyboard plugged in also and it seem very few letters on the keyboard now can be seen in Mames tab so that's clearly why the IPAC buttons aren't recognised either.

Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this inside Mame Liberto? I don't want to tinker about too much outside of it as all other retroarched set ups are unaffected.

        Many thanks

Did you just update to newest version of RetroPie?
I have been hesitant to update myself, since the newest RetroArch is supposed to include an all-new button mapping system, and since my retroarch.cfg files are edited to my liking, I guess all this will be reset..?

No, the remap files (saved via core/game remapping) are no longer compatible, the .cfg files are not affected.

                Thank you all.

I don't know how to answer 'what power supply'. what do you mean? Is there not only one?

I've tried unplugging the keyboard, its wireless by the way, made no difference .

It was configured about 10 months ago. I presume back then I would have set it up through Emulation station. I really don't want to mess with that as everything apart from Mame Liberto is working fine

Ive not knowingly updated Retropie. Im quite prepared to accept ive merely pressed a function key or something I shouldn't have when an emulators running and changed something.

I don't know if this has any indicating link to all this but the Pi loads up to a different emulators starting menu now that it never used to. I didn't ask it to change. Does it sound like a pathway to a CFG has been damaged?

Going through key after key on tab in Mame to see what key works and what doesn't, I get the impression the few working keys may well be Mame factory setting ones. Key 5 has always been insert coin on Mame of course but on my set up it was also key V, Key V no longer works, key 5 does. Does that offer help? Have I somehow switched my own choice off leaving Mame with the factory settings keys?

No, there are thousands of power supply options. Which one do you have? Does it supply 2.5A at 5V?

                  its wireless by the way

These are the kind of things you need to share. Drip feeding information is no good. Please fill out the form in full. - what do your config files look like? etc. etc.
