      Official rpi charger 5v 2.5a
Samsung evo 32gb micro sd card

Maybe the HDMI cable is not up to par or the TV has an auto-off switch ? What happens if disconnect/reconnect the cable ? It's just the game video or the whole picture ?

@jekku Take the Pi out of the NesPi case.
Does it still operate in the same way?
These cases are total trash and cause under-voltage problems and slowdowns.

@mitu I would be 80% sure it's the case being used.

@jonnykesh Yes, that was also my first thought, but I though the Nespi+ case was supposed to fix the power problems of the first Nespi case.

@mitu It was meant to fix it, has it worked? Nope.
This forum is still full of people thinking RetroPie is doing something wrong.
It's not, it's your poorly built case...

@jonnykesh i havent had any undervoltake problems with nespi case since i started using official power supply and it freezes only for about 10 seconds, it freezes just at nes, snes and megadrive

@jekku Just in case, just try as @jonnykesh suggested and run the Pi outside the case to see if you get the same 'freezing'.

I don't think thicker cables would help. Ask for a RMA or get a new case.

@jekku Glad you got it sorted out - just keep an eye on it for a while to make sure it's not just a fluke.
