      Hi there,
I have an issue with the lr-pcsx-rearmed emulator : Games load fine but I'm stuck at the first screen of the game (ex : copyright screen in Gran Turismo 2 Arcade, or violence warning screen in Resident Evil 3).
I guess I have to press start button to past this first screen, but it doesn't work. However, the hotkeys (hotkey+X for libretro menu, hotkey+start to exit the emulator,etc...) are working fine.
I already tried to change controllers to analog in libretro menu, still not working.
I only tried with Gran Turismo 2 Arcade and Resident Evil 3.
I may add my controllers are working fine in every other RetroPie emulators I tried.

Here are my system relevant informations :
Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 3 B (not +)
      Power Supply used: 5V, 2.4A

@xstouf After changing the controller type to 'Analog', have you tried to save your core options so this configuration is saved, and then restart the game ? Or just restart the game once you've done this (Select + B), but without leaving RetroArch.

First, thanks for trying to help !
Yes I tried that, with every combination I could (standard / analog, Retropad / Retropad w/ Analog). I also tried to disable the multitap devices as I seem to remember reading it was bugged some time ago.

Or just restart the game once you've done this (Select + B), but without leaving RetroArch.

I just tried that. Instead of the game, it loads the "playstation loader (playstation logo and then memory card / cd player menu, see screenshot below). Controller also don't seem to work in this menu.

Edit : Do you know a non-analog game known to work, I could use for a test and remove the possibility of a game incompatibility ?

@xstouf when I have that problem I make my changes and then save the game config and then quit retroarch and then restart the game..95% that will fix that problem.

try to put everything back to default and make sure BOTH multi taps are disabled

People want things easy...but then complain that life is boring...

That's what I'm doing, already... Both multitaps are disabled, and I'm restarting the emulator each time I change something. BUT !!!....
...I just made some progress : I just tried "R-Type Delta (USA)", and it is running perfectly fine.
So, I guess the problem is related to the analog controls part, or the 2 first games I tried to run were incompatible in some way (bad luck)...
Now, I know the emulator is working fine with a non-analog US game. That's some progress :)
Do you have an idea to make me progress further, by any chance ?

                @xstouf unfortunately no..I don't use a xbox 360 or a ps4 controller..I have a psx usb type (looks like a real psx) controller that I use.

everything is set to retropad in the quick menu ---> controls (bringing the retroarch gui up (start+x (top face button) and the in quick menu options everything is set to default and both taps are set to disabled? correct?

                try with gt2 please

Had doubts about my games files, so I re-downloaded both gt2 and resident evil 3, and re-built bin+cue from the .bin.ecm files
Now, gt2 (both discs) seems running fine, I could go past the warning screen (yeepee !). Disc 1 is US version while disc 2 is EU.
                  Did the same with :
                  Gradius Gaiden (J), running fine.
Castlevania - Symphony of the night (EU), running fine
Resident Evil 3 (EU), still stuck on the warning screen (it was bin+cue already)
Einhander (US), running with bugs (X button seems not working)

I now know the emulator is running fine, but I'd like to know why some games are working and some don't. I think it is not a BIOS issue, because EU/US/J games are working. Is there a compatibility list somewhere ?

@xstouf You're better off using US (ntsc) versions as often as possible. A lot of EU (pal) games run slower and have black borders at the top and bottom of the screen.
I have a US copy of Resi 3 and have no problems. Einhander is working fine too.

Does the emulator recognize your bios? You don't get any error messages at the bottom of the screen when booting a game? (Many games still run without a bios as the emulator simulates one when it can't find the bios..but compatibility is lower.)

GT2 fine as far as I can tell on my end. Don't have RE3
