      Hello, please can you help?

I have installed the latest version of RetroPie (v3.8.1), together with Kodi. Through the EmulationStation interface, I can choose Ports > Kodi, and Kodi will launch successfully.

The next step is to make my installation of RetroPie more secure. So I SSH into the machine, and I issue the command sudo visudo and I change

      pi ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

      for

      pi ALL=(ALL) PASSWD: ALL

This then makes it so that the password for pi is required any time I issue a sudo command. In my opinion this is just good security for a machine that will be facing the internet etc.

After this editing the sudoers file via sudo visudo, I then reboot and enter back into RetroPie. When I now try to enter Kodi by choosing Ports > Kodi, I am prompted for the user pi’s password.

      The problem is this:

I don’t want to be prompted for a password when I now try to enter Kodi, because I do not intend to run the machine with a keyboard attached.

(If I need to do any updates or configuration etc I can either SSH into the machine. I only intend to control RetroPie through the GUI with a joypad or through Kodi via a remote app on my phone.)

So does anyone know how I can solve this issue please?
