      I'm at a loss. I searched everywhere and found 1 guy w/ the exact same issue a year ago, no resolution...

      Whenever I play NES games, the audio will go low after 10-15 seconds or so, get high again (not too high, just back to normal), then low...it's pretty regular.

      On Genesis I played Sonic for a few minutes straight and it was the same level the whole time.
      On SNES I playes Super Star Wars for a few min. Same thing, normal.

      On NES, I played Zelda & Punch-Out and both had the same fluctuation problems.

        @Foldi84

        The fact that there are so few recorded incidents might lead in the direction of a shared outside factor. One that comes to mind is the terribly annoying practice of modern television manufacturers to post-process audio and video in the default settings. It might be worth looking to see if your television is trying to normalize your audio and is being erratically triggered by the emulator.

          Thank you sir!! That was it!

          Stupid Samsung SRS TruSound something or other. Once I shut it off, those NES games worked fine.

            Yeah, it's funny that just about every manufacturer uses the same lousy post-processing schemes so they can appear to be competitive and then they each give it a unique name and present it to the market as if they invented it.

            I'm glad it worked out for you.
