Where can I find the scraper settings, in say, an FTP viewer?
-
Are you talking about the metadata...? Like the names, pictures, game descriptions, etc? That is, the results of the scraper? Because those are listed in a hidden folder. I think it's home/pi/.emulationstation and there's a folder for the gamelists, and another for the game art
I use WINSCP and I had to opt to show hidden folders to get in there. I don't think you need root access for that folder at least.

I'm using the wrong term, I must mean metadata then, thank you.
I'll see if cyberduck has an option to turn on hidden folders, I dont feel like messing with my desktop (winscp)
Thank you for that info, I was wondering why I couldn't find this supposed home/pi/.emula..... that the internet kept talking about,
-
Any of the folders with a . in front is a hidden folder
-
@scrappbrapp there was an option just added in the scraper module to scrape into the rom folder
-
Really? like... 5 mins ago kind of update? Cause i just updated retropie yesterday afternoon.
where do I find this option? Cyberduck doesn't seem to want to show hidden folders.... I've just been choosing the option of "rescrape all the files"
-
@scrappbrapp try using filezilla
-
My problem was restarting CyberDuck. I found these folders now.
@herb_fargus where do I find these options to change my scraper Directory? When you say "scraper module" do you mean that "steves scraper" program that I have to exit out of emulation station to use? (I havent ever used it)
-
@scrappbrapp Yeah that is the one he is referring to https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/scraper
-
The creator himself! Thank you @sselph . I'll go check out your hard work once I feel like digging around in terminal, soon.

@scrappbrapp The Force is strong with him. If he could be turned, he will become a powerful ally.
Joking aside, it isn't too bad. The terminal fun.
