Hello, I've installed Grim Fandango under residualVM, followed the instructions and when I launch it it says that it doesn't recognize the version (french version extracted from my GoG installation) Here's a grap from residualVM's GUI![alt text] ![alt text] https://s15.postimg.cc/crtyyljsb/GRimtrouble.jpg

rbaker: I've read it, I've read the appropriate docs , I've been to residualVM forum where's nothing relevant concerning the Gog version and then I post a help request here. The only thing I haven't done is put my config: PI 3, with correct power supply, Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, updated to 4.1.
Does anyone here succed to launch Gog version of grim wihtin residualVM?

@jbaudrand Which version of ResidualVM are you using ? According their site, improvements for this game have been added back in version 0.3.0 (https://github.com/residualvm/residualvm/blob/branch-0-3-0/NEWS). You're running 4.1, which is more than a year old - released in Nov 2016 - , so you might not be running the latest version of ResidualVM to support this game.

EDIT: btw, what's the GOG page for the game you have ? I can only find the remastered edition on their site.

i know it does work, and has been for a bit before 4.1.
i dont know if the French version is the problem or it being the remastered version.

            im running the nonremastered version

            RPi3B+ / 200GB/ RetroPie v4.5.14, RPi4 Model B 4gb / 256gb / RetroPie 4.8.2
            RPi5 4gb / 512gb / RetroPie 4.8.9 -Basic
            Maintainer of RetroPie-Extra .

Thanks mitu, I think it's the last version I've installed today, so I will try with the english version of the gog remastered edition. I'll post an update if the french version is the problem.

@jbaudrand But are you sure the remastered edition is compatible with ResidualVM ? Some comments on the forum seem to imply there's no support for it
