RetroPie installation to 32Gb SD Class 10 card on Linux Mint 17.3
-
Hello:
I do not seem to be able to successfully boot into RetroPie on my RPi3 with a 5V, 2.5A power adapter with a HDMI cord and a 32Gb class 10 SD card.
I have been able to boot into a previous RetroPie version on this class 10 32Gb SD card.
I recently wiped the SD card, that was previously used only for RetroPie, to FAT32 with Gparted on Linux Mint 17.3. I then used UNetBootin to install a copy of RetroPie that I downloaded on 7/23. The copy has no errors and appears to install fine. I can see ~5 files before I unmount the card to be moved to the actual RPi3.
Please note I am not sure if this matters or not but the red light on the RPi3 stays solid when I turn the power on.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thank you,

@battlecat just right click on the .img file and open it with the disk image writer and write it that way.

Disk Image Writer appears to have worked like a charm!
Will this be in the instructions soon? Did I just miss it?
Thanks again!

@battlecat there are many ways to image an sd card, that's just one of them for Linux mint. Some people use DD (if they know what they're doing) and there are other tools as well.

I know a @battlecat ... could it be the same one??
Do you premix?
-
@scrappbrapp I have sadly no idea what premixing is unless your making a cake. I've had the nickname since the mid 80s. Sorry.
-
@battlecat , oh well, not a big deal. You're probably a much nicer battlecat than the other one. Nice to meet you!

LOL yes nice to meet you too.
