Hello all! I recently updated my setup script and all installed packages, so I'm now running Retropie 4.4.2. Before that I was running 4 something, but I can't remember which version exactly (it's been a while). Anyway, I have a bunch of 8bitdo DIY bluetooth controllers which I've been using, and before updating they worked without issue. But since updating yesterday, it now takes games FOREVER to load whenever one of the 8bitdo controllers is connected (I'm talking like 20-30 seconds wait time at the runcommand screen). It didn't behave this way before, and doesn't do it when I am using other bluetooth controllers (it loads fine when I'm using my Wii U Pro bluetooth controller, or any of the hardwired controllers I have).

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to remove all BT devices and then re-pair them + configure again ?

Yup, I just tried deleting all bluetooth controllers and repairing them. Still does the same thing. I timed it and it take around 40 seconds longer to load a game with an 8bitdo controller connected than otherwise. As I mentioned in my original post, it doesn't give me this problem when using any other controllers, include the bluetooth Wii U Pro controller.
