OpenBOR modules we like
-
This is just a thread for discussion and introducing some nice modules for OpenBOR. Since the possibility for Raspberry to support this nice gaming engine beyond the old 3400 versions. We are on version 6415 now ... So the world is open for some sweet OpenBOR modules.
Just to start with the one I currently play is Streets of Rage 2X
This is a fan remake of SoR2, introduced by SEGA 1991@darknior @zanac @BiZzAr721 @oilusionista
What are your modules you play right now?Just to compare...
The original from SEGA
The remake done by KRATUS

I haven't had the time to really enjoy just one game - but I have played the beginning levels of many games! Double Dragon reloaded alternate doesn't work with any OpenBOR we have on pi, but played a bit of that as Hulk Hogan on pc and really enjoyed it.
I really want to get into @oilusionista 's Avengers United Battle Force, but I need to give it the time it deserves and go at it co-op.

Same for, no many time at this moment to play :(
But i have play with my little girl on last Holiday :)
We have finished the Hokuto No Ken DEMO, Power Rangers, play a lot the two Art of Fighting so magic, a lot to Avengers, Dragon Ball Z, finish the Mortal Kombat - The Chosen DEMO ... a fantastic game !!! finish Night Slashers X, play a lot Rocket Viper 2 but there are some bugs :( ... like Double Dragon Reloaded that crash like write @BiZzAr721 , play TMNT, play world Heroes Supreme and many others ...
But we miss a 4??? build for many old games, and i ask for it but they lost source code :(
The only solution now for some best games is to found some one who can fix them for the last engine ... but it is not easy to do :( -
@darknior Hi have you tried this link for the 4xxx code? https://sourceforge.net/projects/openbor/files/
-
@maxwell Thanks :)
I already know this page and there are only executable build files.
Not the source code to permit us to compile it on PI :( -
@maxwell The source code for 4xxx is lost. Maybe some guy got it on his old harddrive, will read this message and upload it again. But no official member of the OpenBOR dev-team got this. It's a kind of luck that the old (unsupported) 3400 code is available.
And never forget our @zanac - he made most of the porting to our platforms. And I'm sure he has 4xxx source code, too ;)

@cyperghost @darknior @zanac
I haven't had the time available as I thought I would to play much OpenBOR on my RetroPie. In fact it had been quite the opposite! Anyways, wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Have fun with your family - and watching the ones who are naturals with a PS4 & Xbox controller fail miserably with the classics such as Super Mario Bros or Contra! -
@BiZzAr721 All the best for you and your family. Live long and prosper and be healthy all the time.
-
Thanks @BiZzAr721 and @cyperghost , have fun with your family and i wish you an Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)
I haven't had the time available i would to play more OpenBOR games too :(
And not finished my covers and MEDIA but i will try to release the already done for Christmas :p -
As long as I get another Mighty Morphin Power Rangers beat 'em up, life is good.
-
@IanDaemon The Streets of Rage PAK works well. The Ghouls and Ghosts PAK is a fun Beat 'em Up remake. The X-Men PAK is sort of a rough version of the arcade game.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
