So I've been trying to install retropie 3.8.1. I've downloaded from the official retropie website and it's worked out great. The only program it will let me unzip it with was express zip since no other programs I used (Winrar and 7zip). The error message it comes up says Express zip can't open this file because it's encrypted or a unsupported file type. I've tried installing express zip multiple times and I've tried installing retropie multiple times. I've used the latest version of express zip too. I know it's not express zip's problem since it's worked for me before. Could somebody help?

Here's my specs for my PC if it helps at all.

      Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
      RAM 16 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 10586), 64-bit

Thanks to anyone helping. I'm sorry that such a newbie question is being put here but It's my first time with retropie and flashing onto micro sd cards in general.

You might try re-downloading Retropie again. I've had the same type of problems with other zip files that I discovered was not completely downloaded correctly but worked after I re-downloaded them.

@backstander I've re-downloaded multiple times from multiple browsers (I don't know if that helps anything) and yet, it's the same message. Thanks for helping though.

I've never used Express Zip before but the Retropie image is compressed with Gzip and not Zip so if your program doesn't know how to handle Gzip compression then it will not be able to extract it. 7zip should be able to understand Gzip and I personally use PeaZip in Windows to extract Gzip compressed files.

@backstander Thank you so much. I'll try it tomorrow (It's getting towards night here in the UK) and I'll tell you if it works. Again, thank you.
