      No, if you don't have a HDMI device connected, the PI should try using the composite port to display. Do you have any problems with it ?

        Only i have one question, what is it better to output the video, the jack or this GPIO to SCART cable(http://www.rgb-pi.com/ )?

        Tanks a lot!

          @Cranirak That's a simple question with a complex answer :).
          The better option (as far as image quality is concerned) is the RGB output hat, but you'll need a RGB SCART enabled TV to benefit from it, plus the cable supplied by the site you mentioned is quite short to be practical. If you don't have proper TV you'll need some adapters or a SCART extender.
          The composite output is simpler to use and almost all TVs have composite inputs.
          Are you looking to use a CRT with the PI or your TV doesn't have an HDMI input ?

            My TV is old and doesn't have an HDMI input, so I need to look for an alternative, I see this week that makes the SCART and I can buy (price 30 €), also I see the PI have jack output of video and it's cheaper than SCART. My TV isn't a CRT TV.I'm making an Arcade with a raspberrypi 3b+ and now I'm searching the best option to configure my pi with the best software. Now I'm configuring RetroPi but is harder to find all rooms I want to put.

            Sorry my english is a little bad, I have not practiced it for a long time.

            Thaks for all.

              @Cranirak In this case, use the audio jack and don't bother with a SCART. Make sure you get the correct cable for it, depending on what imput options you have on your TV.

              EDIT: or get an HDMI to VGA or DVI converter and leave the audio alone, otherwise you'll have no audio.

                If your TV is LCD, old LCD, then you need to use the best inputs the LCD has. Since it does not have HDMI, then what is the next best input ? VGA ? Component ? Scart will not look very good on a LCD, old or new, since the TV will likely be handling the scaling.

                I wouldn't go for the rgbpi, the website isn't secure, they do not have any prices online - instead you have to send them your personal details just to get a price, and even then there is nothing stopping them from pricing you by region, not by the product itself - everyone gets a different price based on where they live. And, looking at many forums (I have researched this due to wanting a SCART output) they have many bugs in their software they link to.

                I would get a PiScart, if it's scart you want. Or, get a HAT with VGA - if your TV has VGA.
