I don't understand the directory structure of my FBA 0.3.97.43 set download
-
I read all the arcade, mame and fba docs and downloaded the recommended rom set for the lr-fbalpha emulator(0.3.97.43). But the file structure of my download is confusing me. It has a file structure containing folders for "coleco", "gamegear", "megadriv", "msx", "pce", "roms", "samples", "sg1000", "sgx", "sms", and "tg16". The files in these folders look like the arcade rom names I've seen examples of (they're abbreviatedly-named zip files), but I don't understand why there are folders named after home consoles. Do I throw this whole file structure into /Retropie/roms/fba ? Also the readme states that these files are "split to save space". Is that going to affect playability on retropie?
Sorry I know you guys get inundated with arcade questions, but I did read all the material I could on it.

@brimby Anything out of the
roms
folder are ROMs for consoles - as the name suggests. FBAlpha supports more than arcade ROMsFB Alpha also has WIP console drivers for Sega Megadrive/Genesis, ColecoVision, Sega SG-1000, Sega Master System/Game Gear and also PC-Engine/TurboGrafx 16/SuperGrafx.

@brimby i confirm, what you want is probably the content of the
roms
folder, it's the one containing the arcade roms. And yes, fba can emulate all those systems, and is expecting specific romsets to achieve this. Actually, in a few case, it emulates correctly some sega games unplayable on picodrive or genplus_gx. -
@barbudreadmon @mitu Interesting. I don't think it mentioned anything about that on the wiki page.
