<Newbie Help> Can't get arcade buttons working properly with RPI1 and lr-fba
-
Hi everyone,
I've been working on completing my build of the PortaPi by Ryan Bates as I had a Raspberry Pi 1 Model B lying around (http://www.retrobuiltgames.com/the-build-page/porta-pi-arcade-kit/)
I'm stuck at the last hurdle, where I can't seem to get my A- button for my arcade button inputs to work properly with Neo Geo ROMs.
Pi Model: Raspberry Pi 1 Model B
RetroPie Version Used: 3.0
Built From: SD Image: You can see more info on the image that Ryan Bates developed for the PortaPi - http://www.retrobuiltgames.com/porta-pi-arcade-help/porta-pi-software-os-download/
USB Devices connected: Edimax Wifi Dongle
Controller used:
The PortaPi uses an arcade joystick and buttons mapped onto GPIO pins (http://www.retrobuiltgames.com/porta-pi-arcade-help/software-guide/arcade-gpio-mapping/)Error messages received: None. It's just my A-button that isn't working :(
Guide used: I've been working based on Ryan Bates' instructions on his website (http://www.retrobuiltgames.com/porta-pi-arcade-help/retropie-faqs/)
Emulator: lr-fba
Attachment of config files:
My retrogame.c file that is used with the PortaPi. No edits were made beyond what was required of the arcade GPIO mapping instructions that I put in a link earlier in this post.(http://pastebin.com/9Xh7NmsJ)How to replicate the problem:
Anyone here have used the PortaPi? Have you faced a similar issue with NeoGeo ROMS? I simply dragged and dropped the ROM files into the roms/neogeo folder via Filezilla FTP.Thanks so much for taking the time to take a look at this. I've been struggling with this for a week already :(

I managed to get it to work!
Turns out that I had to change the retroarch.cfg files inside the individual emulator folder, since the global retroarch.cfg file changes did not seem to register for the Neogeo ROM :)
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
