Well, I think that Steven's Scraper is awesome. I used to get all the game covers in the systems.
Anyaway, with MAME roms you only get the screenshots. I know it's due to the database is different. But anybody knows any way for getting the covers of the MAME roms?

You can see the flags here:
        https://github.com/sselph/scraper/wiki/Flags

So if you used the flag -mame_img s,t,m,c
it would be in preference order of s=snap, t=title, m=marquee, c=cabinet.

Thanks, @Floob, I didn't use the commands because I rather preffer the script menu (I'm not very good at linux).

Anyway, since the scrapper uses the mamedb.com I guess it's not possible to get a large image. If you see for example the cover in thegamesdb.com of Out Zone (http://thegamesdb.net/game/7847), that's most what I meant.

In the mamedb.com you can see there are a few images but their resolution is very low :(

Sorry, here are the mamedb.com images for the same game.

Is not possible to use thegamesdb.com for the arcade games?

              One for @sselph I think.

It is possible to use it for some NeoGeo games but in general no. To use thegamesdb for neogeo you'll have to use the command line but just don't add the flag -mame flag.

                something like
                cd ~/RetroPie/roms/neogeo
                /opt/retropie/supplementary/scraper/scraper

@sselph Thanks. I'll try and comment for results.
So I guess what this makes is to use the Neo Geo Platform (the home videoconsole) but not the Arcade games.

If so, why if Arcade is a platform name in thegamesdb and in the new Retropie too this gmes can't be scraped? Could we make something about?

It works because someone mapped everything. When I looked at arcade originally, the number of games in thegamesdb was very low compared to the number of arcade games so I used the mamedb. Even if the number of games there was comparable, I wouldn't want to try and map everything. There is another site for mame information that reached out to me but I haven't had time to add the code to use it.

Well, I just found that downloading MAME adverts with EmuMovies is quite similar to downloading covers. That was basically what I wanted. To get the MAME covers.
For the Neo Geo Games, I think it can download using the Neo Geo console as a platform.
