Is there a way to have Bluetooth Audio in Retropie 4.4? I've tried the Bluetooth option with no luck.

Yes, it's possible, but you'll have to configure it manually - if you don't have the desktop installed. The BT configuration dialog is primarily meant for input devices, so it's not really tested for other types of devices.
