      I have managed to pick up x arcade tankstick from eBay at a cheap price.. I have it running on my raspberry pi 3b+ with retropi... I have noticed with mame that there is a very slight delay in response with joystick and buttons while playing roms... Even Pac-Man for example the joystick not quick enough .. I’m just wondering if I installed a zero delay circuit board would it run a lot better...

        its more than likely the 4 way joystick emulation on mame. Try something thats not 4way. mame2003+ have 4way emulation for 8 way joysticks that makes mame 4way games more playable
