      Hello everybody,

I am having a problem with Retropie: I cannot save.

I have set hotkeys for saving in the RetroArch configuration. But they don't work in the game.
The folders for savegame and savefiles are set to "Default".

I assume my problem is basic, and I am missing something obvious maybe?

A general question: Are the savegames stored on the SD card or do I need a USB stick?

      Thanks for help.

@Dusty saves are per default saved in the game rom folder. There's a workaround if hot key for load and save fails (I have noticed), and that's accessing the RetroArch menu by Select+X and select load and save from the menu.

        Then you can troubleshoot parallel.

I have the same issue right now, load and save doesn't seem to be accessible through hot keys

Thanks for your fast reply. What do you mean by Rom folder? On the SD card oder the USB stick?

@Dusty If you haven't done any config customization, go to the File Manager, and browse to the ROMS folder. There you'll find names of all the systems, nes, n64 and so on. There you put the roms and there will also be your saves.

            Pi/roms/n64/Mario64.v64 the game
            PI/roms/n64/Mario64.srm the save
