      Hi all,

      Here is RomTaStick, the 3D printed arcade console

      RomTaStick MKI

      Raspberry Pi 3 + Retropie powered.

      Read the making of here.
      And build your own with the 3d files and instructions available here.

        @zippy1978 I don't own a 3d printer, but I love this! It's so cool to see a project like this. It's pure design freedom transformed into physical reality. I know 3d printing has been around for a while, but I just don't yet think in terms of building exactly what I want this way. I especially like the "move ahead" attitude with the player start buttons. Nice work!

          Really like this design.
          I think you could easily throw a plexiglass cover over the top of that, and then you could throw a printed control panel overlay that sits between the base and the plexi top cover.

          Do you think you could extend those plans to a simple possibly modular monitor frame?

          Something like a bartop that is 3d printable?

            @Twitch0815 Hi, thank you !

            I don't think I can extend it to add a monitor: the largest parts my printer can print are about 22cm2... I could think of how to it with small parts only... But it would be really difficult (and the screen would be probably pretty small).

              @caver01 Thank you !

              The "move head" for player buttons is actually an accident: I had to do it because player buttons where too long to feet in the box like other ones...

              But I'm glad you like it :)

                Yeah, I read your description of that. I just liked the attitude--rather than a complete redesign/rebuild, you just worked out a solution and moved forward.

                  @zippy1978 that thing is awesome. I don't have access to a 3D printer, but would you be interested in selling just the printed pieces?

                    Hi @chigundo,

                    Why not...
                    Do you already know the colors you want ?
                    And could you tell me in which country you live ?
                    With that I could give you a price...

                      What was your cost outside of the 3d printed parts?

                        Around 120€ including shipping costs.

                          @zippy1978 no clue on colors but assuming the cheapest option for now, what would just the printed parts shipped to USA be, Connecticut 06117

                            140€ should be enough for pla (2 colors : one for top parts + one for bottom parts + lid) + printing + shipping.
                            That is about $157.

                            Colors can be anything from this selection : http://www.ldlc.com/navigation/neofil3d+pla+2.85mm/

                                  Do you want to know if I can print a box for you ?

                                      Hi all,

                                      I created a small website with detailed instructions to build the RomTaStick.

                                      Here it is : https://romtastick.grousset.fr
