I used clrmamepro and converted my roms but I still get a black screen then get booted back to emulation station. I have the bios in roms and bios and it still didn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

More information needed. What ROM are you trying to launch ? Anything logged in /tmp/runcommand.log ? What bios are you referring to ? What mame romset version are you using ? etc. Cheers.

When you say the latest version of retropie - do you mean 3.8.1 or the 4.0RC1 released on the forum ?

DId you check through https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Managing-ROMs ?

Ah yes. The ROM I am using is KOF98,the BIOS I use is Neogeo.zip. My romset is 0.37b5 and I do not know how to see the piece of code you are talking about sadly. I'm pretty new to the Raspberry PI.
3.8.1 is the IMG I am using.

Did kof98.zip and neogeo.zip get verified by clrmamepro? Where did you get the .dat file?
How many files are in your neogeo.zip?

Does this output anything if you type once youve tried to load the game?

                nano /tmp/runcommand.log

I just tried it and it does work.
Make sure you put your zip files in
                /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-mame4all
I selected to run that in lr-mame4all as the default in that dir is mame4all.

I would say either your romsets arent correct, or you are putting them in the wrong rom folder.
