.sh not found
-
So yesterday when i was have ownership issues i got out my other pi and tried to put some ports on. As i have done many times on both my systems i made .sh files for them. I set chmod +x on them no problems. But no matter what i get an error that /home/pi/retropie/roms/ports/"name of game".sh not found happens on any i created. So today im on my main system the i chown'ed /home/pi to yesterday and got working i tried to create a new .sh and keep getting the same error. I even tried creating it in /root/ instead of /home/pi and moving it as that is how all these other ones were created and still same thing. I chmod'ed them with both users pi and root and still the same thing. Not sure why this is happening.

nm. for anyone who runs into this. you cannot just drag .sh files from your pc onto the pi through ftp. they have to be created on the pi. you can do that on the ftp program logged into the pi though.

Of course you can create sh-files in windows. You just need to set the correct linefeed for UNIX systems and on then chmod'em on the target mashine.

@cyperghost im not sure how to do all that. Yesterday i tried to take ones i made on one pi and copy them to another pi with no luck. I might have edited them on windows to point to /home/pi from /root/ before i fixed my other issue on the first pi.

@edmaul69
Use for example Notepad++ and in the grey bottom status line you will see "normal text / length: x line: y / .... Dos/Windows"Click with a right mouse on Dos/Windows and change it to Unix. That's it :)
