Is there a way to make retropie scrape a specific game for a ROM? Ie, if I have FFIV 10th anniversary edition for SNES can I make the scraper scrape the info for FFIV? Right now it finds nothing for the 10th anniversary edition.

@Grahf Well, TGDB and ScreenScraper are the sources (site) for scraping, where the information is store, the scraper get the info from those sites. But I think the game is not found because those sites do not have this information:

            • TGDB : these are the only SNES titles with Final Fantasy - https://thegamesdb.net/search.php?name=final+fantasy&platform_id[]=6
            • ScreenScraper doesn't seem to have the info on the FFIV for SNES

I also got some games which will never be scrapable i guess (Mods & Hacks for SNES, NEOGEo and so on...)

Well , i dont want to have ugly spaces in my gamelist, so i search for nice artwork and save it in /home/pi/.emulationstation/downloaded_images/systemname/filename.xxx.

I don´t use metadata in my theme, but if i would do so i would even copy and paste these informations from an online game-database.

They can be, if they're added to the proper sites. For instance, the Metroid Rogue Dawn which is a NES Hack (more like a total conversion) has the necessary info on ScreenScraper.

@mitu thanks for the info mitu!
I completed my list over the years, but maybe this will be helpful when i find some more exotic games :)
