      Trying to add some files to /opt/retropie/ports/cdogs-sdl/
      i tried putty and filezilla .
      alwyas getting Permission denied
      and nothing getting copy on the directory .
      also try to change the permission from filezilla to 777 , but still going it dosent let me.
      help anyone ?

        @shavecat Copy the files in a folder where your user has access (/home/pi) then use sudo (or sudo mc) from the command line to copy them to the final folder.

          i need a command line to copy it ?
          nothing more simply ?
          how do i know the command line to copy that to there...?

          pi@retropie:~ $ cp -R ~/1/missionpack/dogfights/. ~/opt/retropie/ports/cdogs-sdl/dogfights
          cp: cannot create directory '/home/pi/opt/retropie/ports/cdogs-sdl/dogfights': No such file or directory

            you have to ssh as root (instead of Pi) with filezilla (or winScP) if you want to access those "root" folders.
