I'm new to retropi. Given the changes in obtaining roms, I wondering what use retropi can be now. I bought my retropi hardware before finding there is no way to get roms. Have I just missed the boat?

@winston61 you apparently need to work on your google-fu. We can't discuss romsites here but there are still TONS of options.

@winston61 in my expierence and while i cant name sites there are no shortage of safe rom sites and if your really stuck you could make legal backups of games on cartridges

@Superman550 I do have cartridges, and I imagine there is extra hardware involved. Is this something I can find through google? Thanks for your reply.

@aatheronb I think he was asking about the hardware to extract info from game carts he owns

@aatheronb I did not ask for roms and or even imply that I wanted to ask for roms. Is the gear needed to rip cartridges illegal? My overall point was just curiosity. Indeed if there is no way to legally obtain roms then what is the point of retropi? Are simple questions a violation of some arbitrary code of conduct?

@Superman550 if you don't know the rules then read them. Telling people what to Google and spamming them to scumbag YouTubers is no different than posting romsites.
