When I select a PS2 game in retropie the screen flashes black and then takes me back to retropie. I was looking at https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Playstation-2 and was thinking it was an issue with the bios. I put every PS2 BIOS I could find at /RetroPie/BIOS. There is no folder for PCSX2 on my ubuntu installation. Can't really find any configuration files for PCSX2.

@Grahf The BIOS files must be set in the
$HOME/.config/PCSX2/bios/
, not in the BIOS folder in\\retropie\BIOS
. That folder might not exist OOB, so you have to create it. If that doesn't work, then post the contents of the Runcommand log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log
). -
@mitu thanks again for the reply.
Parameters: Executing: PCSX2 "/home/grahf/RetroPie/roms/ps2/Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner.iso" --windowed /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 1007: PCSX2: command not found

After installing pcsx2 through my OS retropie has started playing PS2 games.
-
I didn't think the PS2 games were playable on a Pi
-
@Barcrest they are not, but OP is using a PC with retropie on ubuntu: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/

Sorry to hijack this thread but where do you find the PS2 emulator core for Retroarch on PC (Windows 10)? It doesn't appear to be on the download list.
Thanks

@George-Spiggott There isn't one, it's a standalone emulator - https://pcsx2.net.
