RetroPie UI setting not saving
-
Hi all,
I've been trying to get my UI settings to save but nothing seems to work, it all just resets upon rebooting.
I seem to be braking more and more as instead of just saving my damn UI and game list settings, now my images in the RetroPie config menu have disappeared, and Retroarch doesn't show an old pixelised menu any more but some fancy PS4-like menu, and it now deleted all my shader settings, and when I star a game I get two messages which I never got, one that a tmp/retroarch directory could not be made because supposedly no space is left on the device, and one about somethjng called Bensussen Deutsch & Associates that I have no idea about what it is supposed to be, and it actually tells me now when doing other stuff like scraping that the disc is full too while this isn't the case. I'm afraid to do anything else at this point.
Adding: I've deleted a few games and the no space messages remain. I will probably just give up at this point and start on a fresh image, seeing as I'm also still on Jessie.

You know what, just ignore all the secondary problems I've been having. The damn system also apparently deleted all my game metadata in one of the reboots. I'll just restart from scratch.
If someone could tell me how exactly I can make sure everything just saves on shutdown next image, that would be great.

The PS UI is the
xmb
menu driver (interface), as opposed to thergui
menu driver which is default in RetroPie. You either have reset the RetroArch settings from the menu, or you really ran out of free space. You can easily see how free space you've got if you exit Emulationstation and look at the RetroPie welcome message.***. Haven't had time to check yet if I've actually run out of memory but that shouldn't really be possible, I'm pretty sure something messed up in the reboots. Just to be safe, I'm going to start on a fresh image from the most recent RetroPie upload.

You haven't answered to any of my previous questions, which would help diagnose why this would happen.

Might be because English is not my native language but there's nothing in your other post that I interpreted as being a question.
If you were asking me to check if I had actually run out of space, no, that is not the case.
