@mitu I tried that within the resourses folder is a splash.svg file which is the ES loading screen, a month ago I changed my loading screen to a custom one but recently with the update to ES that folders gone and creating that folder, placing my own splash.svg file in there doesn't change it that splash.svg is hidden in there somewhere I'm on the hunt for it

@gumpy123 Why ? Don't you want to get this solved ? Add the information asked in the post I referenced so we can maybe find out what is going on.

I've come to the conclusion that I don't think it's an svg file were looking for, I think its compiled in the code somewhere, I'm a programmer/graphic designer and I cany find it, I'm not sure why they changed it in the update, I'm not updating my main build because I cant change the ES loading screen image lol

@gumpy123 These conclusions are wrong. The .svg files (not only the splashscreen, but several others used by Emulationstation) were once part of the code (so you could only changed them by modifying the code), but they were moved a long time ago into their own external .svg files.
You still haven't said which Emulationstation version are you using - or any other info about your setup - but any recent Emulationstation features this change.

@mitu if you mean a long time ago as in a month and a half ago that's when I changed my custom es boot logo it was found in here opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/resources/splash.svg i found that myself because your right noone seems to know about it now with this new update a week ago that folder cannot be found so whiverr version they changed it to 1 week ago I have no idea because I'm not updating my main build to it, I've got a tester image right now with this new update so I apologize I have no idea what version it is, the newest one

I'm also on the latest version and the file you mention (splash.svg) is in the right location. So unless you provide some actual version numbers, I'm not able to help you. Again - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
