tried to post a pic......not sure how to. but the status bar just sticks on
Waiting for recipe (idle) -
Unfortunately this isn't a problem that can best be handled here. You should really try communicating with the developer of ApplePi-Baker at:
http://www.tweaking4all.com/forums/forum/software/macos-x-software/
Also, you can use the dd command from the OSX terminal if you end up stuck for other solutions.
-
The adjectives found in this topic title should refers to the topic title itself. Not to the problem.
Please, describe your problem in the title. -
Agreed - I will change it but please use descriptive titles next time. If everyone posted for help with "I have a problem" the forum would be unusable.
-
Have the same problem with ApplePi-Baker 1.9.3. Tried two different Retropie images. Stops at "Waiting for recipe (idle)".
Has anyone found a solution?
-
Have you upgraded from a version that was previously working?
-
No upgrades, all new to this. Solved it by using a PC but would be nice to get it working for next time.

@magnil I had problems with ApplePi Baker when I formatted my card using the Mac version of SD Formatter. If you haven’t already, try formatting with Apple’s built-in Disk Utility and select the MS DOS (FAT) setting. Everything worked great for me after I did that. Also, I’m still using ApplePi Baker v1.81 — and as suggested earlier, something may have gotten broken with the newer versions.
-
Thanks. Used Apples formatting, will try earlier version next time!
-
Now it is next time :). Tried disk utility and FAT but it does not work. Anyone know where to download 1.81?
Edit: Just realized I have another Mac at home. . . Both Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5. The other one worked great, baking now. Same SD-card, same image file. Wonder why?

I had this same issue (2 years later!) with the latest Pi Baker, but after unzipping the (retropie) image manually first, everything worked fine.
