      having trouble with retropie not adding folders to usb drive, everywhere i have checked says make sure usb service is turned on but usb config is not in my retropie menu. any suggestions?

        What are you trying to do ? There's 2 ways to use the USB - either to transfer the ROMs to the PI or to use the USB as ROM storage.
        The usbmount service is automatically enabled on the RetroPie image, so you don't have to enable it. How did you install RetroPie ?

          Create a folder called retropie-mount on the USB drive.

          From Emulationstation the usbromservice I believe is this way.
          RetroPie Setup >> Configurations/tools >> usbromservice

            @mitu it came with it already downloaded on the mini sd card
            and i am trying to load roms on to it

              @mitu i am new to this i dont know what im doing. so i will need instructions on how to do thing dont just give me a code or wha ever? lol

                @crittejd We don't support 3rd party images, especially the ones that come with pre-sold systems. RetroPie's license forbids the commercial usage of the image and we don't know how that image is configured.
                Use the image from retropie.org.uk/download to install RetroPie and then follow the Docs - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/.

                  @mitu ok so i need to take my micro-usb out and reformat it? and reload retropie? or should i start over with a new card?

                    @crittejd You can use the existing card that you have and install RetroPie on it. Just follow the documentation link on how to install it - it has a nice video explaining everything.

                        No, you don't need to format the card before installing RetroPie.
